Adding an Album to Your Phone

To add a music album to the phone using the Windows Phone software, click the Add Music button from the On Your Phone window and follow these steps:

1. Right-click the folder representing the album that you want to add to the phone. When you do, the software indicates that the folder has been selected.

2. Click the Add button. The Album appears in the software’s On Your Phone window.

Adding a Musical Artist to Your Phone

To add multiple albums from an artist to the phone using the Windows Phone software, click the Add Music button from the On Your Phone window and follow these steps:

1. Right-click the folder bearing the name of the artist you want to add. When you do, the software indicates that the folder has been selected.

2. Click the Add button. The albums by the selected artist appear in the software’s On Your Phone window.

It’s Not All Good

The Windows Phone software isn’t perfect. As you can see from some of the previous figures, the software often fails to display thumbnail images for music and videos. Furthermore, the software completely ignores your video hierarchy. For example, my video collection is organized into folders by category (comedy, cartoons, and so on). However, the Windows Phone software ignores this folder structure and lumps together all the videos.
