Microsoft offers free software for
Windows Phone that you can download and install on your Windows 8 PC or
tablet. This software, which is available through the Windows Store,
makes it easy to copy music, videos, and pictures from your collection
to your phone. You can also use the software to check your phone’s
battery power and to monitor the amount of available storage space on
your phone.
The Windows Phone software interface contains several items:

Adding Photos to Your Phone
To add photos to the phone using the Windows
Phone software, click the Add Photos button from the On Your Phone
window and follow these steps:
1. Click the folder containing the pictures you want to add.
2. Click the pictures
that you want to add to the phone. As an alternative, you can click
Select All to select all the pictures in the current folder.
3. Click the Add button.
4. The recently added photos appear in the software’s On Your Phone window.
