The Battery Saver is a feature that
can disable some of the phone’s functions when the battery gets low, as
a way of saving power. When the Battery Saver is enabled, the phone
still receives calls and texts, but apps run only when you open them
and e-mail must be synchronized manually. You can enable the Battery
Saver by going to the Settings screen and following these steps:
1. Tap Battery Saver.
2. Move the Battery Saver slide bar to the On position.
3. Tap the Advanced button.
4. Choose when the Battery Saver should be enabled.
5. When enabled,
whenever Battery Saver is engaged, you see a heart symbol over the
battery life indicator whenever it’s visible at the top of your screen.
Avoid Using the Always Option
Using the Always option is not
recommended because it is disruptive to apps running in the background
and it requires you to manually check for e-mail updates.
